Ground & Surface Water Analysis

Ground water is water that has soaked into soil pores and the fractures within rock formations. Examples of groundwaters are well waters, borehole waters and spring waters.

Surface water is water that has collected on the surface of the earth without permeating it. Examples of surface waters include rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands.

Northumbrian Water Scientific Services (NWSS) can analyse groundwaters and surface waters for a comprehensive range of organic & inorganic chemical parameters.

Testing is carried out at our Howdon laboratory, using the latest in scientific instrumentation & methodologies to include:

  • Metals
  • VOC′s
  • SVOC′s
  • Pesticides
  • PAH′s
  • pH, conductivity, alkalinity etc.
  • We also offer sampling of ground waters and surface waters through our specialist sampling service.

If you would like to discuss your analysis and testing requirements further then please contact our dedicated Customer Team and we’ll be happy to help.
